Thursday, September 24, 2026 (4:00 PM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Join “America's writing coach” Roy Peter Clark and the Poynter Institute's Kristen Hare for a lively conversation about three writing tools that editors can use for more powerful, clear work that thrives through coaching relationships.

Discussions include Clark’s memorable lessons and demonstrating how editors can harness their power to improve communications, messaging and even management.

Learning Objectives

  • Use word placement to strengthen clarity and impact.
  • Recognize how pacing influences readability and reader engagement.
  • Apply coaching techniques that help writers improve their work rather than simply correcting or fixing it.
