For more than 25 years, the ACES Education Fund has helped students and emerging editors access scholarships, professional development, mentorship, and career opportunities. Since 1999, it has awarded nearly 150 scholarships, supporting the next generation of editing professionals.

The ACES Education Fund supports students and professionals at different stages of their careers through scholarships, fellowships, mentoring recognition, and professional development opportunities.
Your donation helps fund:
Awarded in honor of editor, author, and ACES leader Bill Walsh, this scholarship recognizes a student who demonstrates excellence in news editing.
Award: $3,500 plus conference assistance.
Five scholarships are awarded annually to students who excel in critical thinking and aspire to careers involving editing.
Recipients may also receive support to attend an ACES conference.
Created in partnership with the Dow Jones News Fund, this fellowship helps early- and mid-career editors pursue professional development, leadership growth, and continuing education.
Award: Up to $3,000.
Presented in partnership with Asian American Journalists Association Los Angeles, this award recognizes journalism mentors who have made a lasting impact on the careers of others.
Award: $1,000.
