Description

You wear all the hats as a freelance editor: editor (obviously), bookkeeper, accountant, marketing director, social media manager, copywriter, etc. You also have a life outside your business maintaining relationships and hobbies, caregiving, managing your mental and physical health, maybe volunteering or a side gig, and living a life you’ve designed. It’s a lot.

During this hands-on workshop, we’ll talk about how editors can come up with their own self-care plan, no matter how much is going on in their lives. This conversation will go beyond bubble baths and bonbons and dig into what is best for each editor.

Attendees will:

  • Reflect on their purpose, core values, and current season of life
  • Determine which areas of their life need extra care and attention
  • Spend time working on a self-care plan so it’s ready to implement immediately after the workshop

About the speaker

Tara Whitaker (she/her) is a book editor, host of The Modern Editor Podcast, and business coach. Through individual coaching and her membership community, the Freelance Editors Club, Tara empowers modern editors to create a business and life they love.
